Chinese Tinospora (Tinospora Sinensis) is a deciduous climber in the Menispermaceae family. The stem has scattered lenticels. The bark is papery and ash-grey. The branches possess white pubescence. The leaves are alternately-arranged, ovate, about 7-17 cm long and 4-13 cm wide. The base is heart-shaped, the apex is sharp-pointed, the upper surface is sparsely velvety the underside is densely velvety. The leaf stalk is about 10 cm long. The greenish yellow flowers grow in racemes and are about 5 mm in diameter. The female and male flowers usually grow separately on the same plant. The orange-red globose fruits are produced in clusters of 1-3 and are about 1.5 cm in diameter.*
